Japanese aesthetics appreciates the philosophy of wabi-sabi (imperfect beauty) , so natural materials will be widely incorporated to embrace the natural tactility, such as wood, stone, marble and fabric. While Scandinavian style emphasizes organic shape and lines. In this 3-room apartment. all furniture is rounded and designed in curved lines to ensure children's safety from sharp edges.
In the living room, the focal point is the curved glass partition. The wall was transformed into a semi-open design, adorned with elegant curved glass, to optimize natural light and openness.
Soft green was added in the kid’s room to exude the vigorous and youthful vibe. The alcove combines the loft bed headboard and bookshelf, giving the room an extraordinary design feature and escalating the space vertically.
Striking a balance between Japanese and Scandinavian style, natural wood and grey hue run through the entire master bedroom. The door was renovated to a wooden sliding door which imparts a cohesive and streamlined look to the space.
