An Intimate Japanese Sanctuary for a Couple and Cats
This residential design is for a family of four (a couple and two cats). The brief was to create a space that allows the homeowners who seek tranquility and flexibility to play with their cats with a spacious environment.
Curves are a key motif, beginning from the entrance hallway with rounded edges to facilitate the space fluidity. A minimal, natural tone characterises the interior finishes, with soft curves accentuating the natural light and gentle feel.
The TV feature wall integrated with cat trees allows the homeowners to interact with their felines. The space for water fountains & feeders are curated to encourage a neat and tidy living room.
Instead of a regular dining table, a retractable dining table is hidden in the movable kitchen island. It features a flexibility to move around according to their needs.
In the bedroom, a headboard crafted from light grey leather with a sensual curve and a marble finish, adding a touch of elegance and minimalism.
