An Oasis for Family and Cats
The design employs Japanese style, with furniture with curved lines and wood as the main furnishings to accommodate the houseowner’s living needs while considering their feline companions in all aspects.
In the living room, the TV feature wall was combined with a climbing tree, perches, and a wall-mounted shelves with many holes which conjuring an unfussy and cosy atmosphere. Not only the floorspace, their three cats can play in the ceiling cat tunnels and bridge, allowing them to climb, jump, and observe their surroundings from different angles.
The study was a semi-open space with a feature folding glass partition to allow sunlight to run through the space. In the tearoom, the partition was transformed into a sliding door to mimic Japanese traditional shoji doors.
The master bedroom design corresponds to the Japanese style, resulting in a soft and natural tactility that embraces the calm and tranquility. As a highlight design feature of the room, a matcha-green wallpaper was incorporated with a beige fabric headboard.
